Miss Carol is by far familiar to many areas of the dance world. It is by no surprise that she is Miss Carissa’s Mom, as they look exactly alike! Miss Carol took dance classes growing up studying in both tap and jazz. Although she did not pursue it into anything as big as her daughter she enjoyed her classes and the physical and social benefits that it brought to her life. When Miss Carol enrolled Miss Carissa up at a local dance studio it was then that Miss Carol really learned the ins and outs of the dance world as she was now a “dance mom”. She witnessed every aspect from long nights of practice at the studio, to the planning and home preparations, all the way through to the backstage scene at the recitals. Miss Carol spent many late nights at competitions cheering her daughter and team on, many last minute sewing fixes on costumes and has even volunteered a helping hand on prop decorations. Miss Carol is by far no stranger to the “behind the scenes” work that goes into a successful dance studio.
Although Miss Carol spent a lot of her time over the years supporting her daughter’s dreams and playing the role of “dance mom”, she is also very busy with her own career. Miss Carol has been in the banking industry for 25 years and is currently the Manager of Northwest Community Bank (NCB), in New Hartford. Recently, she was acknowledged for 15 years of dedication at NCB, which was a huge honor. Over the years at NCB Miss Carol has grown to love the town of New Hartford herself, and has become a familiar face around town. She is the Treasurer of the New Hartford Business Council, and a member of both the Canton Chamber of Commerce, and Northwest Chamber of Commerce. Miss Carol is known to spend a lot of her spare time volunteering for events around town as she finds it very rewarding to give back to the community. Most recently, she has been apart of volunteering for United Way as well as the Special Olympics Penguin Plunge. As if Miss Carol isn’t busy enough, she is also the book keeper for a local building and remodeling company, Gerard P. Monroe Contracting.
Miss Carol currently resides in Harwinton with her husband of 37 years. Besides her daughter, Miss Carissa, she also has two sons. In her free time she enjoys golfing, gardening, walks with her “Grand-dog,” as she calls her, and of course beach days! We are so extremely excited to have Miss Carol apart of our DBA Family. Her past insight into the dance world combined with her extensive knowledge in the banking industry is sure to keep the operations at DBA Dance running smoothly. The amount of time and work Miss Carol has already invested into all aspects of DBA Dance before the doors have even opened, from scheduling appointments for Miss Carissa to picking up a paintbrush and working late nights, is truly a blessing and we couldn’t do it without her. We look forward to having Miss Carol’s bright smile greet our families, and everyone that steps into *Dream*Believe*Achieve*Dance*, from behind that reception window for many years to come!
